Riko signed a contract with the Russian Zvezda

Riko will plan, construct and equip Zveza`s factory for production of diesel engines.
Within today’s 9th session of the intergovernmental Slovenian-Russian Commission for commercial, economic, scientific and technical cooperation Riko`s managing director and Pavel Plavnik, the managing director of the company Zvezda from St. Petersburg, signed a contract for planning and construction of a factory for production of diesel engines with maximum power of 1800 kW.
The company Zvezda, that became famous for manufacturing star-shaped engines, is now extending its traditional production programme with a new type of diesel engines. The development of this new engine type is the work of the company AVL from Graz. Based on the developed engine type Riko will build a factory, supply all the technological equipment and launch the technological process.

The 140 million EUR project is to be finished in 2015.
