Janez Škrabec, the director of Riko signed a construction contract with
Vojko Sotošek, the director of Infra, a company in charge of infrastructural
work in the construction project of the hydroelectric power plant in the
spodnjesavska region. This contract refers to the construction of an
accumulation pool with a high-water controlled release device for the Brežice
hydroelectric power plant.
The project
value was assessed to approximately 65 million euros (without VAT). Riko will bring
new subcontractors to this project, among them Viadukt d.d., Nivo Eko d.d. and
others. The artificial lake will require around 20 million cubic meters of
water and its surface will cover around 300 hectares of land. With this project
the accumulation area in Brežice will be secured from high water and floods.

of Slovenia, witnessed the ceremonial signing of this contract.
