Yesterday, the Riko company signed a contract worth €54 million in Minsk for the construction of two transformer substations with switchyards and interconnected cable lines for voltage levels of 110KV/10KV. The investor for the project is the MINSKENERGO RB company that supplies and distributes electrical and heat energy to the area of the city of MINSK and its surroundings. MINSKENERGO RB generates 40% of all electrical energy in Belarus.

Owing to our quality and competitiveness, the Riko company has in the last ten years established itself as a systems provider for renowned carmakers in the territory of the former Soviet Union. Activities in the areas of marketing and project implementation with partners from Belarus are successfully forging ahead in 2011 as well.

The foundation stone for the waste water treatment plant that Riko will build with the Hidroinženiring company was laid by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Nikola Gruevski, in the presence of the Mayor of the Gjorče Petrov municipality, Sokol Mitrevski, the Minister of the Environment and Physical Planning, Nedžat Jakupi, and the Director of Riko, Janez Škrabec.

The Finance newspaper started the “Patron of the Year”campaign this year that aims to find managers who care about Slovenian culture and Slovenian art, and endeavour to help cultural creators at home and abroad through patronage. The expert committee selected Janez Škrabec as the first patron of the year in the field of culture.
