Celebrated the roofing of the expanded set warehouse for the Bavarian Opera near Munich.
The Bavarian State Government organized a ceremony to celebrate the roofing of the new automated rack warehouse for the prestigious Bavarian Opera’s sets, being built by the company Riko. The event featured speeches by Doris Lackerbauer, head of the Rosenheim Regional Building Office; Christian Bernreiter, Bavarian State Minister for Housing, Construction and Transport; Markus Blume, Bavarian State Minister for Science and the Arts; Serge Dorny, director of the Bavarian Opera; and other distinguished guests.

The company RIKO has built an automated high-bay warehouse for stage sets for the Bavarian Opera in Poing, near Munich, as an extension of the existing warehouse. The new facility includes a steel shelving structure with 450 storage locations for special containers for stage sets, complete with roof and facade, 186 containers (measuring 9.7 m x 2.3 m x 2.7 m), a special lifting platform for container delivery and dispatch, and an automatic rack elevator specially developed for handling these containers.
RIKO designed and supplied the technological equipment, assembled and commissioned it in connection with the existing warehouse, and integrated and upgraded the warehouse management IT system. Key subcontractors on the project include Slovenian companies Iskra Impuls, Monter Kocjan, Schwarzmann, and German manufacturers Bueter Hebetechnik and Altmann. During the warranty period, RIKO will also maintain the entire warehouse system.
