The Ribnica municipality has just received its new kindergarten. Today the first part of the new kindergarten opened its doors for children between the age of 3 and 6. The two operating sections of the new kindergarten represent 1,800 m2 of facilities for the children and a three-floor administrative building of 1,000 m2. The new kindergarten was built within 15 months and will start serving its full purpose in end of October. The constructions were done by Riko and its local partners and were based on architectural solutions of the Arhi-tura biro. The investor of this construction project was the Ribnica municipality.

The World Green Building Council (WGBC) is the umbrella organization in the filed of sustainable construction, which represents over more then 25,000 organizations and companies from 98 world countries.

The Ivanovo textile mill for special fabric is already under construction. The project investor is the manufacturing company Ivanovo from Kokhm, Ivanovo Oblast in the Russian Federation, while the construction of the factory will be entrusted to Riko d.o.o. This project will be implemented in frames of the intergovernmental cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Slovenia.

At today’s opening ceremony of the 2013 Bled Strategic Forum Janez Škrabec, the manager of Riko, Branko Selak, the manager of Marmor Hotavlje, Aleksander Polovič, the Chairman of Board in Stilles and Kristijan Petek, the manager of Klima Petek, signed a Cooperation Treaty for the construction of the prestigious Kempinski hotel complex in Minsk. The contract between Riko as general operator of the Kempinski project and the companies Marmor Hotavlje, Stilles and Klima Petek was signed in presence of our Minister of Foreign Affairs Karl Erjavec and His Excellency Aliaksandr Khainouski, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Slovenia.

The hydroelectric power plant in St. Petka in Macedonia the construction of which was led by the Slovenian company Riko d.o.o. was today hosting Slovenia’s President Borut Pahor. Slovenia’s President was welcomed by ELEM’s General Manager Dejan Boškovski and Riko’s Director Janez Škrabec.

Riko and the Cerknica Municipality signed a contract for the implementation of the Wastewater discharge and cleaning project in the river basin of Ljubljanica – 2nd scope.

According to the Kline & Partner research that measures and follows the reputation of companies and managers Riko’s Director Janez Škrabec was named Slovenia’s second most eminent manager.

The mayor of Grosuplje Peter Verlič and the mayor of Ivančna Gorica Dušan Strnad have met today in Grosuplje to sign the contract for the following projects “Sewage system construction and central cleaning plant upgrade in Grosuplje” and “Sewage system construction and central cleaning plant upgrade in Ivančna Gorica”.

According to Finance and Delo Riko was one of the most successful companies in the year 2012.
